A QR code biscuit does exactly what it sounds like: a handmade biscuit finished with a fully scannable QR code, ready to link a recipient straight to a landing page, a video, an offer, or an event sign-up. It’s one of the only formats in edible marketing that gives you real, countable data, rather than just a sense that a gift landed well.
We’ve been making these for corporate clients for years. If you’re new to the wider idea, our guide to what edible marketing is and why it works → covers the psychology, and our edible marketing examples guide → covers the full range this sits within.

How QR Code Biscuits Work
We create the QR code in-house, or you can supply your own and then we ad it to the design and digitally print it. 99% of modern mobile phones have QR scatters built in and auto recognise QR codes when you scan them with a camera. The code links to whatever URL a brand needs: a product page, a video message, a discount code, a survey, or an event RSVP.
Why QR Code Biscuits Work as a Marketing Format
- Genuinely trackable: unlike most edible gifts, scans can be counted, giving a real engagement number rather than a guess.
- A natural conversation starter: the novelty of a scannable biscuit gets people curious enough to actually use it, rather than letting a call-to-action go unread.
- Bridges physical and digital: it carries the sensory, memorable quality of edible marketing while still linking back to a measurable, trackable action online.
Where They Work Best
- Product launches: scan through to a launch video or product page the moment a biscuit is handed over.
- Trade shows and events: a lead-capture form or booking link, handed out as something people actually want to keep hold of.
- Weddings and personal events: a scan through to a shared photo album or playlist.
- Employee campaigns: a welcome video, a benefits portal, or an internal survey link.
Or Make It Musical
Each QR code can link to a video, which opens up a genuinely different kind of gift: a biscuit that plays a song. A few years ago we made large QR biscuits for a special recognition event honouring Snow Patrol’s Gary Lightbody, each biscuit carried a different code, and each one led to a different one of the band’s best-known songs. Guests didn’t know which song they’d get until they scanned it, a small, well-timed surprise that made the biscuit worth keeping hold of rather than just eating as thier phones started to play the Snow Patrol hits!
It’s an option worth asking us about if you’re planning something that calls for a bit more theatre than a standard corporate order, get in touch and we can talk through what’s possible.

Frequently Asked Questions About QR Code Biscuits
Do QR code biscuits actually scan reliably?
Yes – the best codes are short form URL and if your link is very long, we recommend using a short code service (or we can do this for you) which will keep the QR code crisp with lots of blocky details. The longer the address, the more detail is in the QR code and you may need a larger surface to host the QR on such a a larger biscuit,
Can the QR code link anywhere we want?
Yes, the code can be generated to point to any URL, a landing page, a video, a discount code, a form, or a booking link, and can be updated for each campaign or order. One note on music links specifically: we use YouTube rather than Spotify codes, since reselling Spotify’s own codes isn’t permitted, a QR code the customer supplies that happens to link to a song avoids that issue entirely.
How far in advance do we need to order?
For smaller orders we can often deliver next day across UK and Ireland, for larger orders (up to 2000 biscuits ) please allow at least a week or for very large orders (5000 units +) longer planning is required. In any case, contact us to discuss options, delivery dates and number of biscuits.
